Alaska Fishing                     Fishing the Kenai and  Kasilof Rivers
May 1 through September 15                                      and Cook Inlet

              The Kenai River
The "World Famous" Kenai River is renowned for having the largest King Salmon in the World!  The Kings on the Kenai average 45 pounds with lots of fish in the 50, 60 and 70 pound class taken every year.  The world record comes from the Kenai and is 97.4 pound monster.  We catch these fish using a variety of river fishing methods that include Backbouncing, Back-Trolling, Boondoggin and Trolling all are producers of big fish.  The Kenai also hosts large runs of  Silver Salmon, Sockeye Salmon and Pink Salmon.

                  Kenai River Flyfishing
The Kenai River supports a large population of native Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden.  This river kicks out Rainbows over 20 pounds every year.  Large wet patterns, flesh flies and beads can produce 30 to 50+ fish days.  The Flyfishing in August and September is "World Class"

             The Kasilof River
The Kasilof River is a small glacier fed river that hosts a large run of both King and Silver Salmon.  This small river is a "Driftboat"  only river.  No motors are allowed which makes for a quite, scenic and very enjoyable fishing trip.  The King salmon in this river run 15 to 30 pounds with fish in the 40 and 50 pound class caught every year.  The Silver Salmon fishing here is awesome the Silvers run 8 to 20 pounds and are as hot as a firecracker.  When you are on the Kenai penninsula don't overlook this small river, it will draw you back to Alaska again and again.

               The Cook Inlet
The Cook Inlet is home of the second largest tides in the world as well as some of the best Halibut fishing found on earth.  This Halibut makes foor some of the best eating fish one may ever have.  You never know what you are going to get, one drop might be a 10 to 20 pounder while you next drop could be a 300 pound "Barndoor"  It is a great trip to fill the freezer.
